Terrifying New Horror Film ‘The Apocalypse Box’ Set to Release on August 1st

With recent volatile elections in the UK and France, and the upcoming US presidential race, ‘The Apocalypse Box’ is a timely horror film that puts the political system under a terrifying lens. We live in an age where politics is polarised, the media controls the story, and fear, anger, and division are weaponised on voting day. The Apocalypse Box traps left- and right-wing voters together and dares them to make a wish.
Directed by Jim Eaves and produced by Laura Eaves, with an assembled cast made up of established actors Corrinne Wicks (BBC’s Doctors, Emmerdale), Tom Butcher (The Bill), and Sylvester McCoy (Doctor Who), alongside up-and-coming actors Ray Calleja (Ibiza Narcos) and Aryana Neo (BBC Radio), with feature debuts from Lola Knight and Jack Marriner-Brown, and cult stand-up comedian Paul Foot thrown in for good measure.

The Story
Right-wing candidate for Prime Minister, Piers Stonesmith, wants to “Keep Britain British”. On the night before the election, he gathers a cross-section of society at a secret location and invites them to open a mysterious box that grants wishes. But not everyone holds the key to success. His spin doctor, Ella, must keep her cool, avoid a political scandal, and resist the unbearable urge to try the box herself.
